Who would've known. The director from The Notebook directed My Sister's Keeper. Why is he making movies out books? Lack of inspiration I think. It wasn't that bad though. I'm suprised to see Cameron Diaz's character as the mother-figure for this movie. A whole new different side of her. Abigail Breslin. How could we forget her in Little Miss Sunshine? That sweet little child and now, all grown-up. Like Dakota Fanning now and then. A huge transition.

Like I Am Sam, this movie hits me hard till I bawled my eyes out. I'm loving the book so very much. Jodi Picoult is such a gifted writer. I'm thankful that she's able to emphasise on how important and valuable a family is, no matter the struggle or imperfection. Well that applies for all of us too. We are just ordinary people.

My favourite scene (and to the point when I cried to the max) was when Kate, gorgeously all dressed up - with her mom and sister busily snapping photos of her - approached Brian.

"Am I pretty dad?"

It felt beautiful.

Yes. Maksim Mrvica, the legendary prince of piano. Damn. Gorgeous eyes.

I'm not familiar with the piano or any other musical instruments, neither I am musically-inclined (duh). But Maksim's performance gave me the shiver and sparks, watching him for the very first time on MTV when I was eleven. Each time he positions his magical fingers on the keyboard, the sound created is beyond surreal. His music leads you to another world. Maybe not for you but to me it does. He's undeniably the ultimate greatest, most genuine musician of all time.

I checked out his fan-made website and saw this in the guestbook:

Tue Oct 13 2009
"Hi, Maksim. My family is so exhilarated that you are
coming to Singapore. The moment I play your songs, my 2 young boys get
very excited. I am sure our family is going to enjoy ourselves at
your concert. All the best!"

elaine lim

Just so you know, I'm going to his concert. *squeals* Be jealous. Be very jealous. So perhaps I'll bumped into Ms Elaine Lim with her two kids. (:

What I was up to this time round - photo-taking around Botanic Gardens and VivoCity. Picked the best ones for you to see, like duh.

Like em'? If you do I appreciate. The secret? 60% proportion, 40% inspiration. B)

I thought I suck, just because I don't use a DSLR camera. But straight up - my compact camera kicks ass! The photos turned out to be as close as DSLR quality (with a little help of a photo editing software). HOOHAA! I know this sounds cliché, but really, it's not the camera, but the photographer. *grins*

Dayyyumm. Back to Monday. Mundane.

I can't help it but I like to be alone most of the time. (Or is it because I don't have friends to go out with me? Nah. They're busy at school so I'm not gonna irritate them.) All this while I've been shopping and chill out with no one. Feels awkward but gratifying, really.

Exhausted.

Crap. I'm still holding on to my library books that are 3 months overdue. Hah. I was only a quarter away to complete but I kind of want to keep it- 'The Pull Of The Ocean' by Jean-Claude Mourlevat. Simply the greatest. Haven't been reading or going to the movies for ages. Thank Almighty God for the weekend is here. I need to spend time alone; escape in a book or a movie. And window shopping.

Hari Raya no more liao. It was the shortest period for me ever. I could only get to visit houses (and eating dishes which "occur" once every year) for 3 days. My mom's birthday was on Hari Raya so for the first-two days, I stayed at home serving the guests. Not shiok.

My favourite: the grandchildren with their grandmom. By right she has countless more grandchildren than that small lot since the rest came at different time slots. My house so small la that's why.

Hah. Funny stuff from Jimmy Fallon. He's a comic genius. I'm laughing my abs off watching his Billy Cyrus rap skit.

Honestly speaking, I don't understand how to sell items on Ebay. I just closed my account 10 minutes after signing up. Instead, I advertised on selling my newly-bought The Sims 3 on Facebook. Weirdo.

I spent almost my one month's earning buying unnecessary stuff. But as told by my colleague, once in a blue moon; won't hurt. Hah. When you shop with lots of cash in your pocket, confirm you're head over heels. The first item I bought was a digital camera- Canon Digital IXUS 95.

I don't think i'm capable to own a DSLR camera for now so a compact one will do. Best price - 319 bucks which includes an 8 GB memory card. Sleek.

A set of skincare products from Kiehl's up to 170 bucks. Imagine a 30 ml tube which costs $50. I was so unsure at first if they could produce great results for my skin. Little did I know, my skin is kept matte for long hours and the pores are minimised big time. And the best damn thing about Kiehl's is that the products contain the most of natural ingredients, contributing a great, healthy skin. Even celebrities like Rachel Weisz, Julia Roberts, Katie Holmes and John Mayer are loving Kiehl's. I can see why they have gorgeous, flawless skin.

I find myself stupidly dumb to buy clothes from Marks & Spencer. My hands itched while my mind persuaded me to get them off the rack. Damn. I didn't follow my heart. Initially, I was so overjoyed but after that, checking my bank account and looking at the stuff I bought, I find it pointless - except for Kiehl's and a blazer from Dorothy Perkins. It was just a temporary bliss. I should be more wise.

Crap. I bought Sims 3. In the end I couldn't play the game because I need to upgrade my video card. Ugh. I should've double check my computer's compatibility with the game. I'm taking into consideration whether to sell it - one time installation made - or keep it until next year.

I LOVE KIEHL'S.

By far the ultimate best skincare product ever.
